Financial & Insurance

It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! Your treatment plan will include a breakdown of all applicable fees, and we will inform you of all costs before treatment is administered. We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. Our office accepts payments by cash, checks, and Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards.

We accept many major insurance providers’ policies, assuming there is orthodontic coverage on your insurance plan. Orthodontic coverage on your dental or medical plan is highly variable. If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Because insurance policies vary, Champlain Orthodontics will work directly with you to verify any coverage you may have. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims.

To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on our questionnaire.

Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Many employers offer an FSA account to their employees. This allows you to contribute a pre-determined amount to an account whose funds can be used for medical needs. Orthodontics is an approved expense under current federal law. The amount you determine to have withdrawn is taken out pre-tax, from each of your paychecks. FSA accounts generally “reset” every year so please ask if you need help planning for your orthodontic needs. For more information contact your employer or healthcare administrator. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are very similar.
